    Kids Summer Snack Bags Program The OLH Kids Summer Snack Bags Program kicks off once again May 28th. This is our 12th summer supporting children in Liberty Hill ISD, Bertram and Briggs who qualify for the Free/Reduced Lunch program (not necessarily enrolled, just qualify). As there is no summer feeding program for children in these areas, on a weekly basis we distribute snack bags containing 2 meals and 8-10 snacks, including fresh produce. No registration needed. Let's make hunger take a summer break! Children/Students who: attend school in Liberty Hill ISD, Bertram & Briggs Are 3-18 years old Are eligible to participate in the free or reduced lunch program​ OR are a current client of our food pantry can receive a bag with 2 meals and 8-10 healthy snacks each week from May 28, 2024 through August 13, 2024 , during the regular Food Pantry distribution hours Tuesdays 9:00-4:45 & Thursdays 12:00-5:45. How to Support This Program: Volunteer: Volunteers are needed throughout the summer to pack snack bags, and this is an excellent opportunity for families looking for ways to serve together.     Thank you Halff! The nonprofit arm of Halff Engineering purchased the food, packed, and delivered 216 bags for our Kids Summer Snack Bags program. Amazing! A California native, Maureen moved here 8 years ago. She's married and is a doting, involved champion of her 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Maureen began volunteering at OLH when we moved to our current location almost 7 years ago. She works tirelessly, leading the fun-loving crew in our Donations & Sort area. Maureen is always willing to lend a hand and is easily bribed with Rocky Road candy bars and chocolate.
