  • About | OperationLibertyHill

OLH evolved out of a Liberty Hill effort to feed the hungry of our community with a once/month food pantry. Monetary donations provide the majority of our financial support, our Thrift Store is cornerstone to further assisting pantry clients & works hard to support the various programs we offer. Our Story In 2008, the Liberty Hill Community Food Bank was in a local church, offering food once a month to 45 families in LHISD. It was from this service, Operation Liberty Hill evolved. As word got around that help was available, our operations expanded, and we moved into a small house loaned by a local church and started accepting clothing donations, too. We held quarterly yard sales to buy food for the pantry. Demand had us bursting at the seams, so we moved to a building on Hwy. 29. The need for more space spurred OLH moved to its current location in 2015 and allowed us to open our Thrift Store. Wilco Master Gardeners started our community garden to provide fresh produce to the food pantry. Food drives and partnerships with Central Texas Food Bank and local grocery stores, enable us to continue meeting the needs of clients in our service area of Liberty Hill ISD, Leander, Bertram and Briggs. Sales from our Thrift Store help stock food pantry shelves and provides free clothing, shoes, and other household items to those in need. We are grateful for the continued community support through donations - financial, food, time, clothing, toys, and more - and by shopping in our Thrift Store, where you can find great deals and special treasures.
