Proceeds from the Thrift Store buys food for the Pantry, helps to cover financial assistance given, and funds some of the Center's operational expenses. Some things we DO NOT accept: Old electronics Large quantities of books Anything broken or in disrepair Firearms of any sort Kitchenware with food or drink on or in it To ensure the safety of our volunteers, when donating bagged items, please use kitchen-size (13 gal.) bags or smaller. Our Food Pantry is open for distribution Tuesdays 9:00 - 4:45 and Thursdays 12:00 - 5:45. Pantry clients are welcome each week on either Tuesday or Thursday. Donations are usually accepted Monday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00-3:00, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00-6:00. The Donations area is behind the Thrift Store (through the gate left of the store). There is a labeled rolling cart in the open, covered area between the Thrift Store on the left and Food Pantry on the right.     Acerca de Financial Help Operation Liberty Hill offers limited financial assistance to clients residing in Liberty Hill ISD, Bertram, and Briggs. We ask some initial qualifying questions to ensure we are able to do so, e.g., place of residence, type of assistance needed, etc. Please call 512-778-4176 or stop by to schedule an appointment. If the amount of financial assistance is greater than our limits and guidelines, we strive to connect you with other agencies and organizations to help meet all your financial needs. As part of our Rise Up program, we offer a basic money management course called Money Fundamentals. Those who receive financial assistance from Operation Liberty Hill will be required to complete Money Fundamentals prior to receiving any future financial assistance.     Angel Tree Each year various local churches, organizations, businesses, and Liberty Hill families provide opportunities for qualifying Liberty Hill ISD families to receive goods and/or services during the Christmas season. This is for any child 0-18 years old, living in LHISD, and are low-income or ALICE (Asset Limited Income Constricted Employed). Program applications are available through the LHISD's school counselors. If your child(ren) is/are home schooled or none of your children are in LHISD yet (too young), please email Jamie Etzkorn at LHangeltree@gmail.com

    Silver Bells Program Silver Bells (a sister program to Angel Tree) is here t o honor and support our senior citizens. We match seniors with individuals or families who wish to spread some holiday cheer to our golden residents. If you are missing family and friends, have Christmas wishes or needs, we would love to help! We ask Applicants be at least 60 years old and live within the LHISD boundaries. Please complete the registration form below (either for yourself or on behalf of a senior) beginning Monday, September 30, 2024. The form must be submitted by November 3rd. Paper applications are available at the OLH Center (1401 N. Hwy. 183, Leander). They, too, must be mailed (P.O. Box 1081, LH, 78642) or dropped off here at the Center. If you have any questions or problems completing the registration, please call (512) 778-4176.     Hotels for the Homeless Extreme weather conditions - whether heat or cold, escaping domestic violence, loss of one's home, coming out of an institution (e.g., hospital) can result in the need for emergency housing. Due to the grant specifications, we have to qualify each household during the application process. Average of $89*/Night *Average cost of 1 night - depending on location and day of the week.
