    Meet Our Team Susan Baker Executive Director Upon retiring from the City of Austin after 24 years, in 2010 Susan began volunteering on a monthly basis with the Liberty Hill Community Food Bank. When need outgrew the organization, Susan, along with 3 other volunteers, founded Operation Liberty Hill in 2012. She's married, has 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.     Hotels for the Homeless OLH serves many of our community's homeless population with food and clothing on a weekly basis. In extreme weather, we've occasionally housed them as well. With this heat, we need your help to alleviate their suffering. Will you please consider donating a night (or 2)?     Kids Summer Snack Program Thanks to a generous grant from the City of Liberty Hill, OLH is once again offering snack bags that include fresh fruits and veggies. Children/Students who: attend school in Liberty Hill ISD, Bertram & Briggs Are 3-18 years old Are eligible to participate in the free or reduced lunch program​ OR are a current client of our food pantry can receive one bag of healthy snacks per child each week from May 30, 2023 through August 15, 2023, during regular Food Pantry distribution hours Tuesdays 9:00-4:45 & Thursdays 12:00-5:45. LHISD does not have a summer feeding program, so many of our community's children go hungry. Summer snack bags go a long way to alleviate those hunger pangs. Below is a list of the food items we're looking for as donations. Volunteers are needed throughout the summer to pack snack bags, and this is an excellent opportunity for families looking to serve. Proceeds from the Thrift Store buys food for the Pantry, helps to cover financial assistance given, and funds some of the Center's operational expenses.     Silver Bells Program Silver Bells (a sister program to Angel Tree) is here t o honor and support our senior citizens. We match seniors with individuals or families who wish to spread some holiday cheer to our golden residents. ​ If you are missing family and friends, have Christmas wishes or need some support during this holiday season, we would love to help! We do ask that applicants be 60 years old and up, and live within the LHISD boundaries. ​ Please complete the registration form below (either for yourself or on behalf of a senior). The form must be submitted by November 3rd. Paper applications are available at the OLH Center (1401 N. Hwy. 183, Leander). They, too, must be mailed (P.O.
